To mark the occasion of World Diabetes Day, a free health checkup and diabetes screening camp was organized at DEW Medicare and Trinity Hospital on 14th Nov 2015. Fasting and Post meal Blood Glucose and Total Cholesterol was checked.
It was followed by public education program with deliberations on Diabetes prevention and management by Dr. Shailesh Pitale. Dr. Suneeti Khandekar Nutritionist spoke on Diet to prevent diabetes. Insights on exercise were given by Dr. Runalini Madankar. Dr. Anagha Sahasrabuddhe spoke on holistic approach for diabetes prevention and prevention of diabetic complications. The program was attended by large number of local residents who actively participated in the interactive session. Dr. Anagha Sahasrabuddhe was the event coordinator.
