Sewankur’s Aheri surgical camp was a grand success. 14 patients were operated in Aheri sub-district hospital on 24th January 2016, out of which 10 were major surgeries & 4 minor. Operations were performed by Dr. Sudhir Tomey, our hon. President, Dr. Seemantini Sathe, gynecologist, Dr. Pranam Sadavarte, plastic surgeon and Dr. Kanna Madavi. Anaesthesia was ably given by Dr. Mrudula Bapat & Dr. Sachin Jambhorkar. 3 medical students from Government Medical College & 2 from Ayurveda college assisted surgeries.
A team of Dr. Nutan Deo, Mrs. Ashwini Girhe, Dr. Vasudha Khati & Bhagyashree Gade in collaboration with Dr. Suresh Dambole from Aheri also started Sewankur’s community medicine project in Petha village adopted by Dew Medicare and Trinity Hospital.
Two students, Mr. Shahzad Khan & Mr. Gaurav Bansod also completed our social internship program of seven days- “ONE WEEK FOR NATION” at Aheri from 20th to 28th January.
